Joe Motika
After a 2 year hiatus from Mocha Joe's, we welcome back the newest addition to our team: Joe Motika! Joe began working for Mocha Joe's in 2002 as a barista in our cafe, and moved to the roasting company a year later, where he rocked out as our Roastmaster until 2007, when he left for greener pastures. But, as we all know, there are no greener pastures than Mocha Joe's and so we welcomed him back to the staff this September. Joe is a talented and attentive roaster with a great cupping palate and an eye for perfection. What more could a small, artisanal coffee roasting company ask for?
In addition to being a coffee geek of the highest degree, Joe is also a professional chef. He works on Wedneday night at the award-winning TJ Buckley's restaurant, and runs "An Evening In"-- his own gourmet catering company. An avid forager, mushroomer, and farmer's market attendee, Joe is always in search of the best, local ingredients for his delicious concoctions.

A perpetual wise-guy, Joe has his own talk radio show, and a BA from Seton Hall in Literature and Latin and Classical studies (which he finds exceedingly useful in his chosen field). He enjoys long walks on the beach, quiet evenings at home, and of course, a good cup of coffee.
